Shane Morrow
Audio Engineer & Field Sound
Shane Morrow, from Newdawns Audio Engineering, mixes and masters for Hide and Seek. With over a decade of various experience, Shane aims to craft captivating soundscapes and clear vocals. His priority is to ensure listeners enjoy the cleanest, most engaging podcast experience. He joined H&S part-way through season three and is here to stay. Being part of the team, he says, has given him the opportunity to do more with his craft; to help make changes in communities and people’s lives.
Two years into his business degree, Shane made the decision to drop out and pursue audio engineering full-time, a passion of his since age 11. He says it was the best decision he could have made. Beyond his work on Hide and Seek, Shane can be found mixing music for various independent artists at Newdawns’ studio, helping bring concepts to reality. During that time of transition, Shane proposed to his wife of now almost five years, Eva, with a new family member, a cute little boxer-mix named Artemis. He enjoys attending live shows with Eva and has been known to chase a squirrel or two with Artemis. He hopes his work on the podcast heightens the listener experience and contribute to the cause: finding those who are lost and helping to heal those who are hurting.

The Anchor
I knew Shane was serious the minute he offered to drive two and a half hours just to meet and talk about audio. I didn’t know he’d end up being someone I’d lean on like I do now.
Our first real trip together was to Michigan, and by the end of it, Ethan and I both realized how much Shane brought to the table. He’s not just great at mastering audio—he’s the guy who calms the room, thinks ahead, and helps me focus on the investigation instead of everything else happening around us. We joke about how much he plans ahead, but the truth is, it’s one of the reasons we stay sharp out there.
He’s become someone I rely on—not just to make the podcast sound good, but to help me carry the mission forward.
