SARA JO
Producer, Writer, & Co-Host
Sara is a remarkable individual who joined Hide and Seek in season 2. Initially, she reached out to James as a listener, expressing her interest in starting a discussion group for the podcast. When season 3 arrived, Sara took James' offer to join him in a more in depth role and elevate her involvement with the podcast. Although hesitant at first, she embraced the challenge, with the condition of taking her time to get comfortable with podcasting. However, plans didn't go as expected, and Sara quickly dove headfirst into her new role.
Since then, Sara has become an indispensable member of The Hide and Seek team. Her education includes Police Policy and Procedure, Criminology, Criminal Justice, Advocacy, Forensic Psychology, and Legal Studies.
When she's not occupied with her day job or collaborating with her fellow Hide and Seek team members, Sara finds joy in various activities. One of her favorite pastimes is traveling to warm destinations with family or friends, including team member and long time friend, Kerry, and her sister. In addition to her love for travel, Sara enjoys the water, and the sun. She cherishes the time she spends with her deeply loved American Eskimo. Furthermore, Sara has a penchant for shopping, indulging in the thrill of finding unique and meaningful items. Whether it's searching for missing pieces to complete a collection or discovering new treasures, this hobby allows her to unwind and embrace simple pleasure.
Sara's dedication to missing person cases, combined with her diverse interests and cherished relationships, shapes her multifaceted personality. Her commitment to making a difference in the lives of those affected by tragedy is unwavering, and she continues to channel her passion into her work, striving to bring answers and resolution to families and communities in need.

The Storyteller
Sarah Jo started as a listener—someone who cared about the Nancy Moyer case. After Season 1, she asked if she could create a Facebook group. That group became a hub for discussion. And Sarah became someone I started sharing more with.
By Season 3, she had earned access to sensitive case materials. She asked the right questions, spotted details I missed, and helped shape how we told each episode. Now, she contributes to scriptwriting, co-hosts roundtable episodes, and helps keep the story human and focused.
She’s not just a voice behind the scenes, she’s part of how we make sure every story is told the right way.
