THE SEEKERS

THE SEEKERS

They weren’t handed a badge.
They didn’t get a script or a title.
But they showed up anyway, with curiosity, grit, and a hunger to help find the truth.

The Seekers are a confidential group of individuals who played a vital role in the Season 4 investigation of Shane Barton’s case. Recruited from within our Patreon community and in-person events like CrimeCon, these are everyday people with real careers, teachers, engineers, researchers, nurses, analysts—who chose to step off the sidelines and into the heart of a real investigation.

Each one signed a confidentiality agreement. Each one earned trust.
And in return, they were given full access to sensitive materials—interview transcripts, raw audio, video files, Apple Health data, property records, call logs, images, you name it.

They weren’t just observers. They were active collaborators.

Every week, we worked side by side, sometimes in hour-long debriefs, sometimes in short bursts between interviews. They dove into timeline analysis. Flagged contradictions. Found metadata inconsistencies. Ran phone and property searches. Broke down geographic movements. Pulled county assessor records. Cross-referenced health data. Offered emotional support for real-world search efforts. And most of all, they brought fresh eyes and honest accountability.

When I was too deep in the moment, they helped me zoom out.
When I thought I saw a clear pattern, they pointed out a curve I missed.
When theories got too comfortable, they asked the hard questions.

They didn’t chase credit.
They didn’t want the mic.
They just wanted to help. And they did.

To me, they're heroes, grounded, sharp, compassionate, and relentless in their pursuit of clarity. They helped me balance this case. They helped this story stay honest.
